Viamistad is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that creates bridges for families and communities separated by distance, economic barriers or attitudes.
An important aspect of Viamistad's work is with people with disabilities in Guatemala, an extremely isolated population. We bring people together annually at large recreational sleep-away camps, where local volunteers live with and care for Guatemalans with severe disabilities. Lifelong friendships are created and sustained.
